A Dog’s Top 2015 New Year’s Resolutions

It’s that time of year when we resolve to procrastinate less, lose weight, and finally get in shape. Our pets might make similar resolutions. What would your dog(s) say? Here’s our ideas:

What’s your New Year’s Resolutions?

1— Relish the squeaky toy – There’s no reason to be in such a hurry to pull it apart. It’ll still be there in an hour.

2—Catch a squirrel – This will be the year. Finally!

3—Stop chasing the cat – Max next door seems to like his cat roommate. I’ll give ours a break. Who knows, if I make the first overture, maybe she’ll stop swatting at my tail all the time. If she doesn’t though, that’s a different matter.

4— Do more counter surfing – There’s good stuff up there!

5—Eat better food – It’s time to eat healthier. I’m going to work on the people to get me a better quality of dog food. Better yet, do away with that processed pup food and cook for me instead.

6—Get out more – More walks, more smells, more fun. I’m ready to lose this middle so it’s time for more exercise. Longer walks mean more calorie burn AND more good stuff to smell.

7—Be more social – Get tothe dog park to run more and catch up on the gossip and leave more “notes” for my canine buddies in the neighborhood on the trees. I need my friends!

8—Protect my paws—Dry, cracked paw pads hurt. I’m getting dog boots to protect my paws this winter and the Snuggy Boots Suspender System to keep them on! Don’t I deserve them?

9—Take up a new hobby – I hear soothing Doga is all the rage. When Mom spreads out her mat, I can’t wait to lay on it. But maybe dancing  is more fun….
